The Machan's twenty-nine treehouse units sit thirty to forty-five feet above the forest floor in Jambulne, inside one of the Western Ghats' recognised biodiversity hotspots, about two and a half hours from Mumbai or ninety minutes from Pune. Categories range widely: the Deluxe Double Room Balcony Canopy Machan is a straightforward entry treehouse with a wooden deck, while the Deluxe Family Suite Heritage Machan is built directly around a mature fig tree with a crow's-nest platform for valley views. Starlight Machan and Cocoon Machan add private plunge pools if that matters more than the canopy novelty. Aaranya Spa runs treatments from a cabin in the woods, and four kilometres of marked trails cover birding and short treks to nearby forts and caves. Monsoon, roughly June to September, is when the surrounding hills turn genuinely green and waterfalls run, though paths get slippery; winter weekends book out fastest.
