Jiva is one of the newer entrants in Sohra, in Saitsohpen village, and it markets itself as a premium alternative to the area's older, plainer resorts — the design leans more contemporary than the timber-and-tin look common elsewhere in the region. Every room is called a suite here, seven categories running from an Executive Suite to the top-tier Horizon Suite, with hill views built into the layout rather than treated as an afterthought. It's a base for exploring Sohra's waterfalls and living-root-bridge trails rather than a destination in its own right, and the restaurant and outdoor areas are designed for unwinding after a day out rather than for a long stay in.
