Set on the Rajwas Plateau above Pahalgam rather than in the town itself, which means a short transfer up but a clear outlook over the Lidder river and the aptly named Valley of Shepherds once you're there. This is ITC's flagship in the area and, by scale, the closest thing Pahalgam has to a full resort — cottages running from one to four bedrooms, a Presidential Suite with butler service, and design that leans on Kashmiri wood carving and tapestry rather than generic five-star finishes. Pine forest wraps the property, keeping it cooler and quieter than the valley floor in summer. Works well for families or groups needing multiple room configurations under one roof, or anyone wanting resort infrastructure — spa, multiple dining, garden space — without checking into Srinagar; less suited to travellers who want to walk straight into Pahalgam's market and riverside, since that requires a car from here.
