Evolve Back sits at Kamalapura, a short drive from the main Hampi ruins, built as a modern homage to Vijayanagara palace architecture — arched doorways, wall-mounted braziers, open courtyards — set against the region's distinctive boulder-strewn hills. Four categories run from the Nivasa Deluxe Suite up through the Nilaya Terrace Suite and Zenana Palace Suite, named for the historic Zenana Enclosure, to the Jal Mahal Private Pool Villa, modelled on Hampi's own Water Palace with a pool and open mantapa pavilion. This is a base for exploring UNESCO-listed ruins — Virupaksha Temple, the Vittala Temple's stone chariot, Hemakuta Hill — best done early morning before the heat sets in. Hampi runs genuinely hot; October to March is comfortable, April to June punishing, and water on any ruins walk is non-negotiable regardless of season. This suits history-focused travellers doing full days out more than anyone after a pure relaxation trip, though the villas make for a comfortable end to a long day.
