Taj Corbett sits along the Kosi River near Garjia village, about 15 kilometres from Ramnagar town and close enough to the Bijrani and Dhikala entry gates that early safari starts are realistic without a pre-dawn transfer. It's built as a proper resort rather than a jungle camp — 75 rooms and suites, three restaurants, a spa, and a pool — with river-facing categories overlooking the Kosi's boulder-strewn bed rather than deep forest. Safaris run on the park's standard permit system: fixed zones, fixed gate timings, and no guarantee of a tiger sighting regardless of what any package promises, so treat the wildlife as a possibility rather than the point of the stay. Grand Luxury and Presidential Suites get private river-facing sit-outs and outdoor jacuzzis; Superior Rooms are smaller and often garden-facing instead. Good for a family or couple who want resort comfort bookended by two safari drives, not for anyone wanting a rustic tented-camp experience deep inside the reserve — this sits outside the park boundary, on its edge.
