Vythiri Resort occupies 150 acres of hill-forest at around 850 metres, with a stream running through the property that guests cross on a swaying rope bridge. The signature stays are treehouses built up in the canopy, alongside ground-level villas with private pools for families or honeymooners who'd rather not climb a ladder to bed. Steep tiled roofs, exposed timber rafters and earthy plaster keep the buildings in tone with the rainforest around them. Pookot Lake is 6 km away and Chembra Peak about 22 km, both easy day trips. Monsoon (June–September) brings the forest fully alive but with heavy, near-daily rain; October to March is the more comfortable window. Suits travellers who want genuine forest immersion over resort polish, and families are well catered for; not for anyone who dislikes damp, insects, or being some distance from town.
